Marcel Schrotter seems to be really strong in Austin this weekend and he showed his potential again during the second session of free practice in COTA.

The German is the only rider able to ride under the 2.10 and he is half of a second faster than everyone, with his teammate Tom Luthi in second place.
Just a few thousandths between the Swiss, Alex Marquez and Luca Marini, who are six tenths of a second slower than the best performance.
Sam Lowes ended the day in 5th with 2.10.646, followed by Champioship leader and Argentina GP winner Lorenzo Baldassarri, almost seven tenths of a second slower than Schrotter.
Fabio Di Giannantonio is 7th and he is growing up really well, while Mattia Pasini gets a fantastic 8th place securing for the moment Q2.
Jorge Navarro and Remy Gardner close the temporary top ten; in 11th there is Nagashima, first rider with a gap of over a second, followed by Andrea Locatelli, Simone Corsi and Enea Bastianini, who gets actually the last spot for Q2.
No chance to ride for Angel Nieto Team's riders: Xavi Cardelus tried to perform a lap but he could not due to pain and Jake Dixon has been decleared unfit to due to a cerebral concussion.
