First podium of the season for Valentino Rossi, who did not manage to reach one since Sachsenring 2018, after a long fight against Andrea Dovizioso.

"The Doctor" was happy after Argentinian race where he was able to fight for the first positions after a tough Qatar weekend: "I am really happy, it is an important result for me, for my team and for Yamaha. We worked really well since Friday. This podium is for the new guys working with us and also for the old ones!"
The Italian told to media how hard was overtaking Dovizioso: "I tried to ddi not make any mistake, if you go wide for just 2cm, Dovi is ready to overtake you agan immediatly, so I tried to understand in which part of the track I could do my attack and I am happy that was successful. In some points of the circuit I was faster, in other Andrea was faster than me, it was a good fight"
Valentino then said there is still work to do and talking about strong characteristics of Yamaha: "We are really strong while braking, the bike is working good in that area, I fell good. Anyway, challenge is really hard, being competitive depends on the track, on how the team work and by rider's state of form. We will see what happen in the next races"
Rossi ended with a quote on Marquez: "Today Marquez was really strong and fast, we have to work a lot to be close to him!"
