Conor Daly is no stranger when it comes to jumping ships with different teams in IndyCar. Heck in only 43 career starts, he has already driven for 4 different teams. But with how modern motorsport is run these days with only corporate backing being enough to get a seat in most IndyCar's today, Conor has virtually gotten used to it, but has refused to give up. And that is why he has earned a place in a lot of race fans favorite driver lineups.

And that determination has earned him yet another chance at getting to compete in an IndyCar in the Indianapolis 500, quite frankly the best opportunity of his whole career.

Conor and Andretti Autosport has announced a deal for Daly to drive the number 25 U.S. Air Force Honda in the 103rd running of the Indianapolis 500.

"It's a fantastic opportunity," said Daly. "No one doubts the fact that Andretti has had so much success at the track, at the event, in the whole season in general. I've got two Indy 500 champions as teammates and just an incredible wealth of experience."

If you may recall last years Indy 500, Daly was able to put together a deal with the Thom Burns Racing and Dale Coyne Racing, along with backing from the U.S. Air Force. He would make the Air Force proud by bumping then team mate Pippa Mann out of the field in qualifying for the final spot in the 500.

That coupled with some great marketing strategies encouraged Michael Andretti to give Conor Daly a shot in what is arguably the most competitive Indianpolis 500 teams in recent years. Andretti Autosport has scored 3 Indy 500 victories in the last 5 years.

Conor Daly has been bouncing around in different types of cars and is quickly becoming the guy that will drive anything with wheels, incuding a NASCAR stock car and a dirt midget in the iconic Chili Bowl nationals. He is sort of coming back to home base with the Air Force to run Indianapolis again. (see what I did there)
