Indy 500: Day 4 Practice Report
The news and results for the final day of practice before qualifying for the Indy 500
Practice 5 for the Indy 500 mark’s the final day of practice before qualifying. There will be one more practice on the day of qualifying but this will be the last full day before qualifying takes place on Saturday and Sunday.
Marco Andretti is again showing that he is not a fluke by posting another fastest time around IMS. He will definetly be one to watch tomorrow in qualifying.
The jaw dropping Canadian rookie Robert Wickens ran the speedway the second fastest out the thirty five. Wickens practically won his first ever IndyCar start and has finished top five in three of his first five starts. This will be his maiden voyage in the Indy 500 but based on his practice times and season results, he could just steal his first win in the greatest spectacle in racing.
The only owner/driver in IndyCar Ed Carpenter ran third quickest. With two poles in the past he should be a force to reckon with come qualifying.
