Sebastian Vettel wins a thrilling British Grand Prix, Hamilton recovers to 2nd
A late safety car spiced up the British GP at Silverstone. Sebastian Vettel made a brilliant late move on Bottas to take the victory. Hamilton finished a superb 2nd following a first lap collision with Raikkonen. Raikkonen grabbed 3rd to complete a double podium for Ferrari.

Three cars were forced to start from the pits and that left only 17 cars on the grid at the start.
When the five lights went out, Vettel and Bottas launched past Hamilton as the Brit got a bad start. Raikkonen then locked up and hit Hamilton at turn 3 which dropped the Mercedes driver down to the back of the pack.
Vettel led from Bottas, Verstappen, Raikkonen and Ricciardo at the end of the opening tour.
With the mess from the turn 3 incident, both Haas' had contact as well, as did Alonso and Perez at turn one in a crazy start. Hulkenberg (+5) and Sainz (+7) were the biggest winners on lap one.
Hamilton cruised through the field and by lap 10 he worked his way back up to 6th. Hulkenberg, Leclerc, Ocon and Sainz rounded out the top 10 at this stage of the grand prix.
Raikkonen pitted at the end of lap 13 and served his 10-second penalty for the incident with Lewis Hamilton.
There was heartbreak for Charles Leclerc after he was forced to pull off the track following a pitstop while running strong in the points.
Following the opening round of stops, the top 10 was Vettel, Bottas, Verstappen, Ricciardo, Raikkonen, Hamilton, Hulkenberg, Ocon, Alonso and Magnussen.
Ricciardo came in on lap 31 for a second stop and fitted the soft tyres; the Aussie rejoined in P6.
Marcus Ericsson had a big crash at Abbey and this brought out the safety car. The Swede lost the car as the DRS was closing and had a huge spin and ended up in the tyres. Thankfully he walked away unscathed. Vettel, Verstappen and Raikkonen all pitted under SC conditions for fresh boots.
That left the order as Bottas, Vettel, Hamilton, Verstappen, Raikkonen, Ricciardo, Hulkenberg, Ocon, Magnussen and Alonso before the restart.
Raikkonen and Verstappen had an incredible duel following the resumption. Kimi overtook Max on the Wellington straight, but the Dutchman responded by overtaking the Finn around the outside of Luffield.
Moments later, Grosjean and Sainz made contact at Copse and the safety car was called for again. Both drivers were out of the race following the collision.
Verstappen made an error at the end of sector 2 on the restart and gifted Raikkonen 4th place. Ultimately, the Dutchman stopped with a brake by wire issue.
At the front, Bottas got eaten up. Vettel grabbed the lead on lap 47, Hamilton took 2nd on lap 48 and Raikkonen nabbed 3rd on lap 49 as Bottas struggled on old medium tyres compared to the fresher tyres of the other three.
Vettel took a superb victory in front of Hamilton and Raikkonen. Bottas, Ricciardo, Hulkenberg, Ocon, Alonso, Magnussen and Gasly completed the points scorers.
