As the five red lights have gone out, the Alpine cars were quick.

After some opening laps, Ocon managed to get from P16 to P11.

Around Lap 8, Ocon made a good move past Haas' Kevin Magnussen and brought himself in the points to P10.

After a quick change to hard tyre compound dropping down to P16, nothing could stop the Frenchman from advancing back to the top 10. In that period, he pulled off a cracking move on Nicholas Latifi.

With nine laps left in the race, Ocon managed to advance higher to P7 where he crossed the finish line. It was thanks to a stunning double overtake on Gasly and Vettel down the Kemmel straight and into Les Combes.

Double finish for both Alpine drivers, Esteban Ocon (P7) and Fernando Alonso (P5).

Post-race Ocon comments, "Yeah, it's been a really fun race. I think, you know, probably our best weekend in terms of performance since i joined the team back in 2020."

He adds, "So, I really felt comfortable out there. Comfortable in qualifying yesterday, but really comfortable in the race as well, which is always nice to take and could use the pace of the car and the straight line speed of the car in the straight line."

He continues, "Managed to get some cool overtakes done as well. So yeah, it was really good fun, so we can be proud of."

When asked about the beautiful overtakes and moving forward taking this high mentality into the remainder of the second half of the season, Ocon replies, "Yeah, I think it means a lot and we've just brought some updates into here."

In addition, 'We still have a lot of tools to come in the team, so it's definitely promising. There are three weekends in a row. We are not going to have much time to fix the car, or get th car quicker but that's the same everyone. So, we should be in a good shape for the next two."
