At the start of the five red lights, Lando Norris kept his position at the start covering off Hamilton's sneak attack at the opening turn.
Although, a couple laps later, Norris dropped three positions down the straight, with Hamilton, Verstappen and Perez all passing him.
Around lap 15, Norris pitted for medium tyre compound and finished P12.
After passing Zhou and Bottas, Norris moved to P7.
As the chequered flag waved, Norris finished P7.
P7 was the most the team could do today, with six cars from the top three teams finishing the race, the team did it.
The update implemented at Paul Ricard enhanced the grasp as it propelled them to fourth place with a tremendous performance by both their drivers.
Post-race Norris commets, "P7, happy with that."
He adds, "After yesterday, of course we’d all wished for a bit more, but we just didn’t have the pace today with the quicker cars behind."
He continues, "We just did an extremely good job yesterday. I'm happy with it, it's the maximum we could do today with the cars ahead."
To conclude, "Tough in places but seventh was the best we could have done for the points today, and we were ahead of our rivals.”
Before heading into the summer break, the team will spend the next couple days examining on the drawing board at the factory then take a breather, replenish their batteries so they can return stronger for what could be an exciting battle in the Constructors' Championship for Spa.
