Aramco, one of the largest companies in the word is joining an F1 team, the Saudi Arabian petroleum and gas company is partnering with Aston Martin F1, in 2020 Aramco joined F1 as a global sponsor being present the whole season.

Aston Martin arrived at F1 this past year rebranding Racing Point, their first season was a little complicated, the British team achieved one podium with Sebastian Vettel in Azerbaijan but the car´s reliability and performance was descending through the season finishing 7th in the Constructors' Championship.

Lawrence Stroll, Chairman of Aston Martin Aramco Cognizant Formula One Team, said:

"We are in the sport to win so I am delighted to welcome an incredible partner of the stature of Aramco, who I have learnt from this process has a tremendous amount of intellectual property and technical capability, which I know will greatly assist our team to achieve our goals of winning Formula One world championships.”

In September 2021 the team started working on their new F1 factory and wind tunnel at Silverstone, the team expects to be able to fight for a title in 4 years approximately.

The AMR22 is set to be presented on February 10.
