F1 | RB18 to be unveiled on February 9
Red Bull has announced the launch date for the 2022 single-seater, the RB18.
Red Bull is heading into the new season with the aim of defending Max Verstappen’s hard fought world title.
Despite Honda leaving Formula 1 at the end of 2021, the Dutchman and his teammate Sergio Perez will continue driving a Honda powered single-seater, as the Japanese company will be producing Red Bull’s engines until the 2026 regulation change, when Red Bull Powertrains will step in and take over production.
The 2022 engine, however, won’t be much different than the one we saw last season, if not for the changes necessary to use the new E10 fuel.
The RB18 will be go out on track before the start of official testing at the end of the month in Barcelona, as in Milton Keynes they have decided to use one of the two filming days available for teams each year to have an early outing in Silverstone.
While the livery is set to be unveiled to the public next week, on Wednesday February 9th, one day before Aston Martin.
