Eight-time defending Constructors’ World Champions have announced the date for the unveiling of the W13. It will take place on the 18th of February.

Despite claiming a remarkable eighth Constructors’ Championship in a row in 2021, Mercedes were left hugely disappointed at the end of the year.

Seven-time World Champion Lewis Hamilton looked set to win an eighth Drivers’ Championship in Abu Dhabi, until a late Safety Car following Latifi’s crash and the highly controversial decision from Michael Masi happened.

Max Verstappen overtook Hamilton on the final lap of the race to claim his first Drivers’ Championship after an enthralling season.

Since the finale in Abu Dhabi, there hasn’t been a single update from the Brit on social media.

As well as a new era of Formula 1 coming in 2022, Mercedes’ line-up has also seen a change.

After helping the team win five straight Constructors’ Championship from 2017 to 2021, Valtteri Bottas exited the Brackley-based squad to join Alfa Romeo.

This year’s line-up sees George Russell join Lewis Hamilton at the team.

The 23-year-old has put in many stunning qualifying performances during his spell at Williams; his P2 at Spa ultimately gave him a podium in unusual circumstances.

Mercedes are seeking a ninth straight title on the teams’ side and they will be unbelievably hungry to reclaim the drivers’ crown after the events of Abu Dhabi last month.
