F1 | Saudi Arabian GP | Bottas satisfied with P3 as he praises the Jeddah track
Valtteri Bottas finished the race in third position. He is happy of his result but there are some aspects that could have been improved and to keep looking at for the Finn’s last race as a Mercedes driver
The Saudi Arabian Grand Prix has ended its first edition and it has been such an entertaining race. There have been two red flags and three virtual safety cars, not to speak about multiple incidents and many penalties, which involved Mercedes and Red Bull. Most of them have been yet to decide by a very confused FIA. Mercedes made it to get a victory for Hamilton and a good third place for Valtteri Bottas. The Finn looked very satisfied with his results. He talked with Sky right after the race to express his own impressions on the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix and his result.

“It has not been an easy day for me – Bottas said, starting to analyse the race from the beginning – it has been full of obstacles and red flags, which have definitely made my day complicated.”
At this point, for the Mercedes driver, it is time to study the tyre strategy, which seems to have not been the wisest choice. “Maybe it could have been a mistake to put on the hard tyres compound after the red flag.”
“We have been keeping pushing hard through the entire race until the end – he continued – and on the straight I have been able to take the third place.”
