Between talent, the number of fans, personality, and charisma, one of the driver pairs that has generated the most expectation for the upcoming F1 season is the new McLaren lineup.

Without questioning the great results that both, the Australian and the British drivers can deliver, the excitement of the fans cores on the expectation that the chemistry and good vibes between the two can bring show off the tracks; but Daniel Ricciardo, one of the most charismatic and funny drivers on the grid, insists that being at McLaren is a work’s sake, not laughter’s.

“This is definitely not going to be a comedy show. It's something I want to reiterate to everyone watching and every fan of McLaren in particular" Ricciardo stated in an interview with Sky Sports News' Craig Slater.

"My personality won't change so I think I do enjoy doing what I do... but I'm certainly not going there to be this meme power couple or whatever it's described as these days!"

Besides, Daniel is convinced that with his determination and maturity, plus the vital energy and talent of Lando Norris, the goals of his arrival in this new challenge are only comparable to the third place in the constructors' championship that the team achieved in the past 2020 season.

"I'm coming for business; I'm coming to improve the car.”

Lastly, he highlighted for Sky Sports the importance of continuing the course of the anti-racism campaign for the 2021 season.

"I hope [we will]. I really do. I think if we deep down believe in it, and obviously firmly stand by it, then there's no reason why we shouldn't. 2020 was a pretty heavy year for so many reasons but it was a year that I learned more about how the world works, so to speak. I certainly feel strongly about what I have learned and I want to continue to learn and hopefully educate myself and others around me. If it means that we continue to take a stance like we have [in 2020] then absolutely."
