The closer we get to the first lights-out of the season in Bahrain, the more we discover about how the grid will look like in the upcoming season. While the pilot line-up is almost complete because of Red Bull’s announcement of Perez and with the last available seat at Mercedes, very little is known about the cars.

The Alpine team disclosed images of their winter livery, black with inserts inspired by the French flag, and due to Aston Martin’s change in the title sponsor- in the last season BWT, for the next one IT brand Cognizant-, we won’t have a pink car on the F1 grid.

However, Alfa Romeo Racing, which, back in October, confirmed their 2020 line-up Kimi Raikkonen and Antonio Giovinazzi for the 2021 season too, has been the first team to issue a release date for the unveiling of the new car.

The model is going to be disclosed to the public on the 22nd of February in Warsaw, with the time of the event still TBA. C41, the name of the car that will take part to the 2021 F1 season might appear unusual at a first glance, since last years’ was called C39. That is because the project of the C40 car had been realised according to the new technical regulations, which have been delayed until 2022 because of Covid19, thus the public will probably see the C40 in 2022.

On the other hand, Ferrari Team Principal Mattia Binotto revealed that, after the SF1000, a celebratory name for reaching the milestone of a thousand F1 Gps in which the team has competed, the project for the 2021 season is called SF21. Still, many teams have to announce their car names, including Williams, Haas and Alpha Tauri.
