F1 | Abu Dhabi GP | Verstappen "Very Happy" As He Finishes Season In Style
Red Bull Racing's, Max Verstappen finishes the 2020 F1 season on a high, winning his second race of the year at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix
Verstappen made a good getaway when the lights went out and easily took the lead in front of Mercedes' Valtteri Bottas (P2) and Lewis Hamilton (P3).
Verstappen was comfortable in the lead, with Hamilton a further 3.5s behind, 2.6s ahead of Bottas.
After a race incident involving Racing Point's, Sergio Perez with a power unit issue called for an initial Virtual Safety Car (VSC) became a full safety car as marshals failed to recover the car and the top nine pitted with all taking on hard tire compounds during the caution.
Verstappen re-joined in the lead ahead of Bottas and Hamilton.
Verstappen continued to develop his comfort zone.
And Verstappen powered across the line after fifty laps leading the race to take his and the team's second victory of the year after winning the 70th Anniversary Grand Prix early in the season. This is the fourth win for the team in Abu Dhabi, the first since 2013 and our 64th overall victory.
