The first race in Bahrain didn't finish exactly as fans expected, with Sebastian Vettel and Charles Leclerc sitting in eleventh and twelth position at the chequered flag. With the second weekend held on the same venue, everyone expected another disastrous performance by Ferrari, especially on the Sakhir outer track, a layout made of straights, where the engine's power is fundamental. Sebastian Vettel didn't disappoint any expectations, ending his qualyfying early in Q2.

The German, who has just two races left with Ferrari, before heading to Aston Martin in 2021, will start the Sakhir race from the 13th spot on the grid, on the seventh row next to Alfa Romeo's Antonio Giovinazzi

I generally had a good feeling driving the car today so I don’t really know what went wrong - explained the four time world champion -  maybe on the straights I was losing a bit as well as in the middle sector. I was confident after Q1 but then we didn’t make it. I don’t know if this could be related to the power unit change. For sure my mechanics did everything well as the car was fine to drive. Taking care of the tyres will be difficult tomorrow but it could be the key to a good race. We will have a free choice of tyre for the start and we will see what we can do.”

Sebastian will ran an uphill race; different story, instead, for Charles Leclerc. The Monegasque made it to Q3, clocking a perfect lap time that allowed him to stay in fourth position with a single attempt at the start of the session. Let's see if the Maranello team will conquer some point tomorrow.
