F1| Bahrain GP | Hamilton dominates FP2 while Ferrari is nowhere
Lewis Hamilton keeps his leading position in Bahrain as well but Ferrari could not arrive even in the top ten as it has been betrayed by the 2021 tyres.
The night in Bahrain still has the glow of the Silver Arrow. Mercedes is once again the unbeatable leader of the season, even in Sakhir, where the action happens by night in the desert.

The fifteen race of the 2020 season started the weekend in the morning, where the winner team showed that it is still hungry for more successes to come and it will be chase another record to brake. The second session of the free practices didn’t change this layout that much. The leader is once more the newly crowned World Champion- for the seventh time- Lewis Hamilton. At the Briton’s back there is the Max Verstappen on his Red Bull. The Dutch gains a well-deserved second place meanwhile his teammate Alex Albon crashes during the session causing a red flag. There is, however, a good news, the medical centre has just cleared the Thai-British driver’s health conditions and he has no injuries.
There was also a stoppage as a dog strayed onto the track for the second consecutive event.
In the third position of the FP2 there is Valtteri Bottas. The woodman managed to steal that third place from a hungry Checo Perez, who has been able to give his all on the Racing Point, exploiting the single-seater to its maximum but in the end the Mexican had to surrender to the “first generation” of the engine of the supplier team. In fifth position, we find a super Daniel Ricciardo, with the Australian who is creating a super series of bold performance for the Renault before leaving toward Woking at the end of the season. Pierre Gasly managed to reach the seventh place ahead of Lance Norris on his Racing Point. The last two qualified in the top ten positions are another AlphaTauri, firmly driven by a vigorous Daniil Kvyat and Alexander Albon, who managed to conquer the tenth position even with the crash.
The two Ferraris are in the back of the grid, as we are getting used to see, with Sebastian Vettel at his usual 12th place and Charles Leclerc, in difficulty, in 14th position. The Prancing Horse had a completely different session in mind as the Italians tried to test the 2021 tyres but in the end the risk didn’t pay them back.

However, it’s only Friday and we have the whole weekend to live admiring the cars speeding up through the Bahrain’s desert send, hoping for the rain of an unpredictable, magical race to light up the night.
