Kimi Raikkonen has silenced the rumors regarding his future, saying he has not yet decided whether to stay in Formula 1 next year.

Raikkonen will find himself without a contract at the end of this season and apparently the decision to renew his contract with Alfa Romeo lies in the his hands.

Despite his car's poor performance this year, he only managed to score points once, Raikkonen said he is still enjoying the racing.

“I enjoy the racing but obviously we have more fun when we do better,

“And it’s definitely not been something where wanted to be or where we are aiming.

“But it was, early on, very clear that we are not where we were we were hoping to be. For many different reasons. But the racing I still enjoy, we had good battles and I wouldn’t be here today if I wouldn’t enjoy it, I can do other things also.”

However, he explained that he had rejected all claims regarding his future and the extension of his contract for next season with Alfa Romeo.

“If you believe the news then it’s the truth but I’ve never had an option in my contract so that’s should, pretty much, tell you that it’s not true,

“I read some many things in the news over the years that I’ve stopped reading them because 90% is far from truth. And then 10%, is something to do with it. So, no, I haven’t signed anything.”

Furthermore, Kimi Raikkonen will break the record for the number of Formula 1 starts during the Eifel Grand Prix weekend when he takes to the starting grid for the 323rd time.

In addiction he was asked if he will be there to compete with Fernando Alonso who will return to F1 with Renault.

“We’ll see. Obviously we have some talks with the team and it’s nothing to do with Fernando coming back or not. It’s my decision in the end and we’ll see what it comes to
