Scuderia Ferrari continues to face problems in Sochi. Despite the team brought to the Russia weekend some updates of the cars, so far the results of the Ferrari drivers look weak.

In qualifying, both cars were left out of Q3.
During Q2 Sebastian Vettel smashed his Ferrari after making a mistake in the fourth and then second turns. He lost control of the car, crashing heavily into the barrier. Fortunately he was unhurt, but it ended Seb's session.

The driver explained the accident to a lack of pace in the first sector, which caused him to take more risks than usual.

"When I crashed I was trying to improve my time. I hadn’t had a good first sector so I was pushing. It seems that I was going too quickly and so I lost the car. It had already happened in turn 2 and then it happened again in turn 4. I tried to avoid the impact, but I couldn’t catch it," the driver said.

"Compared to the morning session, the track was quite different during qualifying and I struggled a bit more. I’m sorry to have made extra work for the team, but at least I think the car can be fixed."
