F1 | Belgian GP | Frustrated Leclerc admitted struggling to overtake with DRS
Leclerc reflected on his struggles to fight for positions during the Belgium GP, even with DRS
The pole position and the maiden win of Charles Leclerc at Spa last year is long gone. In 2020, the place was the same, but the story was completely different. After a poor qualifying saturday, Leclerc was hoping for some rain to mix things up coming Sunday.
Very difficult week-end for us until now. I gave everything and will continue to do so.

Unfortunately, Leclerc went from winning the race last year, to bringing his SF1000 in 14th position, after a two stops strategy that wasn't really fruitful. He explained after the race that Ferrari was so far down on power that he even struggled to overtake when using DRS on the Kemmel Straight. For the Monegasque, "It was extremely frustrating, as it has been a very difficult weekend for us".
He added : "The race was not any easier as we've had issues on the two pit stops that we made, which made me lose quite a lot of lap time and positions."
"I tried to catch back up, but it is very difficult for us to overtake, even with the DRS."
"We need to work and find something because like this it is very difficult ".
Now, Leclerc has his mind fully focused on to the race at Monza, with hopes that the team will have some solutions their lack of performance.
Fun 1st lap, not fun after that.
