F1 | Belgian GP | Vettel reveals struggles with the car
The four-time Formula 1 world champion claims that his SF1000 is difficult to drive
Sebastian Vettel displayed a disappointing performance during Friday's running. The German driver ended up 15th and 17th in FP1 and FP2, respectively, as he struggled with the car balance.
Despite different attempts to improve the overall set-up, the SF1000 lacked grip during the free practice sessions. Vettel underlined the difficulties encountered, pointing out that the team will continue to work hard to find the best tuning.
"It was a difficult day for us. The car was tricky and difficult to drive and we are not quite where we should be as we struggled with the balance.
"We are looking to find options for the set up and we tried something different.
Vettel continued remarking that fickle weather conditions might impact the qualifying and race results.
"I am sure tomorrow will be a bit better, but we don't yet know what the weather will be like.
"We had a glimpse of wet conditions this year in Austria therefore we are aware it won't be the easiest thing to deal with, but it always provides a chance to mix things up, so let's wait and see what happens."
