The ghost of the 2019 edition of the Spanish Grand Prix comes back in 2020 as well, hunting the second session of the Free Practices. Indeed, there is the same order of the first three drivers. Lewis Hamilton pushed his W11 until the end, scoring up the fastest lap of the session with the time of 1.16.883. His teammate Valtteri Bottas follows him very closely, though, finishing the session in a time of 1.17.170.

Looking at Red Bull, we can find a restored Max Verstappen arrived third, with a time of 1.17.170. The Dutch driver seems refreshed after having won the one and only edition of the 70^th Anniversary Grand Prix as he approaches the Spanish race with much more confidence.

On the fourth place there is a good Daniel Ricciardo. The Australian is followed by a surprisingly excellent Romain Grosjean. The French ended his session ahead of Charles Leclerc, only sixth. The Monegasque is just ahead of his next season’s teammate, the Spanish Carlos Sainz.

The eighth place is occupied by Sergio Perez. The Mexican can finally come back to his seat, after having healed completely from Coronavirus.

Coming up to the last places of the top ten, Esteban Ocon filled the ninth position and the French confirms a Renault who looks very improved from the last weekend and which can aim to catch some points during this one in Barcelona.

In tenth position there is Pierre Gasly. The Alpha Tauri driver is sending a clear message to Helmut Marko and Christian Horner, to show he has the stuff – once more-  to drive for the main team, if pressure will allow it. This is only the FP2 session, though. We can’t definitely wait for the actual race.
