Racing Point to become Aston Martin Racing for 2021
It was confirmed today that Lawrence Stroll took a stake in the iconic British brand.
A consortium led by Canadian billionaire Lawrence Stroll will pump in £182m to the company which has been struggling, with the rest of the money coming from existing investors. They’ve taken a 16.7% stake in Aston Martin following their investment. Stroll will also become Aston Martin’s Executive Chairman.

The news means Aston Martin will no longer be involved with Red Bull Racing following the conclusion of the 2020 season. The British manufacturer teamed up with the Milton Keynes-based squad in 2016 to create a next-generation hypercar; the team confirmed today that ''Red Bull Advanced Technologies will continue to work with Aston Martin on its innovation partnership in order to deliver the Valkyrie hypercar''. They became Red Bull’s title sponsors in 2018.
Following the @AstonMartin announcement today, the Team can confirm the manufacturers Title Partnership will conclude at the end of the 2020 season.
