Williams: new members and expectations for the coming season
Williams’ 2019 season was definitely full of problems, but the British team didn’t give up. Two new members joined the team and Claire is quite confident that during this coming season Williams will rise again.
The next season is ready to start. Williams continues to believe in the teamwork and they start to have confidence in the new duo that has been appointed for the 2020 campaign: the Chief Designer, Dave Worner and Jonathan Carter, the Deputy Chief Designer and Head of Design. They will both work for the team and Williams said that they will cover these positions for an indeterminate amount of time.
In the lead always Claire Williams, who said “Dave and Jonathan bring enormous experience, knowledge and skills to the Williams team”.

The last season wasn’t the best and the team seemed about to finish it painfully, but Claire affirmed “It was a really difficult year, but probably not as difficult as 2018”.
“It’s difficult for the naked eye to see, but we know what we are putting in and we are seeing the rewards of it” she continued “I say that because we’ve done so much work to transform the business – and the hard work isn’t paying off yet.”
The team is working hard and they are convinced that they will be able to manage the next campaign.
“I believe we can get back to where we want to get back to” Claire also stated.
It is such a pity that a great and successful team like Williams has to deal with the back of the F1 grid when it could fight with the main teams at the top.
