Williams sign Roy Nissany as test driver
The Israeli born driver will take part in three FP1 sessions for Williams in 2020.
The Israeli driver joins Williams after driving for them in the post-season test at Abu Dhabi in December.
Nissany’s best season to date came in the Formula V8 3.5 series in 2016 when he secured 4th in the Championship, taking three wins along the way.
His most recent season in single-seaters was in the 2018 FIA Formula 2 Championship. Nissany scored a single point and finished 22nd in the standings with Campos. He’ll return to that series this year, alongside his duties with Williams.
According to Williams, ‘’Roy will undertake three FP1 sessions, drive one rookie test day, as well as being immersed in the team over three Grand Prix weekends. He will undertake a number of simulator sessions at the factory, and spend time integrating within all departments throughout the year.’’

When I tested for the team in Abu Dhabi in December, I instantly felt comfortable in the car and part of the team. The experience that I will gain this year, immersing myself with Williams will prove invaluable and I’m looking forward to getting started, both on and off the track.”
