Tatiana Calderón to drive the Alfa Romeo C32 in Paul Ricard alongside Juan Manuel Correa
The female driver Tatiana Calderón will be driving this Friday and Saturday the Alfa Romeo C32 in a test alongside American driver Juan Manuel Correa.
Tatiana Calderón will be driving for Alfa Romeo in the tests that will be carried out in the Circuit Paul Ricard in France next 23 and 24 of August. She will be driving alongside Juan Manuel Correa in the 2013’s Alfa Romeo C32 with a Ferrari V8 engine. Both drivers are part of the Alfa Romeo’s development program. They currently race each other in Formula 2, in which Tatiana races with BWT Arden and Juan Manuel with Sauber Junior Team by Charouz.
In the current season, Correa has achieved 2 podiums and driving the Alfa Romeo will be his “award”. This will be his first time driving a Formula 1 car and he seems very excited. “Driving a Formula 1 car is something that I’ve dreamt since I was 7 years old. I’m extremely excited. I hope I learn a lot with this experience.” Said the American driver.
While Tatiana will be driving a Formula 1 car for her third time. She has already driven one in an exhibition last year in Mexico and in a test in Italy. Apart of F1 cars, she has also driven the Techeetah Formula E car last year.
“I’m very happy to work again with the team (Alfa Romeo) in the track and to continue my development and learning as a driver with them. I hope to get the most out of this new opportunity.” Commented the Colombian driver.
Circuit Paul Ricard is a track known for both drivers, because the 5th round of the Formula 2 World Championship is disputed in said circuit. Both drivers are getting a big opportunity to increase their levels as drivers. Let’s see if it helps them.
