It was confirmed earlier today by HRC that Jorge Lorenzo had signed a two year deal with the manufacturer. Lorenzo will be riding in the Repsol Honda team for the next two seasons alongside reigning MotoGP World Championship Marc Marquez

After his first win on the Ducati last week at the Italian GP out in Mugello, speculation about Lorenzo's future was up in the air.

The question was whether he would stay at Ducati for another couple of years or would he go back to Yamaha with a potential new satellite Yamaha team to feature next season?

However, after the announcement of Dani Pedrosa's departure from the Repsol Honda team at the end of the season, Lorenzo was favourite to take the seat.

But today we got thrown a curveball and what we thought would be the impossible, happened.

Lorenzo put pen to paper and signed for the Repsol Honda team on a two-year deal.

The 31 year-old will be looking to make history by trying to win races with three different manufacturers. He's done it with Yamaha and last week he done it with Ducati but can he do it with Honda?

Following the news of Lorenzo leaving Ducati for Honda, Ducati then made an announcement stating that Danilo Petrucci had signed a one-year contract with the factory team.

Petrucci has been impressive on the Alma Pramac Ducati in the past few seasons bagging a few podiums along the way.

A factory seat was in reach for Petrucci but this opportunity depended on Lorenzo and where he was going to be next year. Now that Lorenzo is leaving Ducati, the seat opened up for Petrucci.

Now, we have two Italians on Italian bikes as Petrucci will partner up with Andrea Dovizioso for 2019.

Another signing had been revealed this morning as Tech 3 confirmed that Hafizh Syahrin would be staying at the team for another year as he signed a one-year contract extension and will be riding the KTM spec bike. Syahrin will be alongside Moto2 star Miguel Oliveira.

There are still seats available on the grid at LCR Honda, Alma Pramac Ducati, Avintia Ducati and Marc VDS. But all factory seats seem to be taken.

KTM have already announced that Johann Zarco would be joining them next season along with Pol Espargaro.

Suzuki have not confirmed that Joan Mir will be riding in the team next season but it looks like it will be happening. He will be alongside Alex Rins.

Aprillia are keeping Aleix Espargaro and look likely to sign Andrea Iannone who revealed last week that he wad parting ways with Suzuki at the end of the season.
