So far this season there has been four cracking races to be had and in the last three of those races Suzuki have gotten themselves on the podium. The pair of Suzuki riders – Andrea Iannone and Alex Rins have impressed everyone with their speed with Rins finishing third in Argentina and Iannone finishing third in both Texas and Jerez.

The last time Suzuki had three podiums in consecutive races was 10 years ago back in 2008 with Loris Capirossi and Chris Vermeulen riding for the team at the time.

With speculation about Iannone’s future and with the likes of Jorge Lorenzo and Dani Pedrosa linked with a move to the team, it seems he has stepped up at the right time, bagging two podiums since the rumours started in the MotoGP paddock.

It is very early in the season however, Iannone’s recent form might have swayed the Suzuki bosses into keeping him for a couple more years but needs to keep it up throughout the season as teammate Rins is pretty much secured his place within the team for next year.

Speaking to MotoGP.com about his future at the team, Iannone said: “For sure we discuss about my future and also the future of Suzuki, but I don't talk only with Suzuki.”

“I have other proposals, but always the priority is continue with this team.

“The group is fantastic, also with the Japanese people I have a really good feeling, we started the construction of a really good situation.

“I have a big challenge with me also, I want to arrive on the top with Suzuki because I came here for this.”

Suzuki’s last win was back in 2016 at the BritishGP in Silverstone when Maverick Vinales stormed to victory. Both Iannone and Rins will be looking to grab Suzuki’s first win of the season. With three podiums on the bounce, a win might not be far away for the team.
