MotoGP faced one of the trickiest qualifying sessions of the year in Valencia as the track was wet despite clear condition in the atmosphere. The best on getting the right feeling was Pol Espargaro, who clinched second pole position of the year conquering second ever pole position for KTM as well.

The Spaniard was able to ride in 1.40.4 putting a little margin on the rivals. Alex Rins is 2nd followed by Takaaki Nakagami; both were really close to KTM rider but not fast enough to conquer pole position spot.

4th on the grid is Johann Zarco ahead of championship leader Joan Mir; Suzuki rider could have a great chance tomorrow of increasing his leadership as the only title contender ahead of him is his teammate Alex Rins. Franco Morbidelli will start from 9th on the grid while Fabio Quartararo and Andrea Dovizioso are 11th and 12th.

Jack Miller led every Friday sessions but did not manage to get fastest lap overall in Q2 and crossed the line in 6th followed by Aleix Espargaro and Miguel Oliveira. Brad Binder will start from 10th.

Bad luck for Francesco Bagnaia, Valentino Rossi and Danilo Petrucci: the three are 17th, 18th and 19th. We must remember that Rossi came back just today as his presence was unsure until Saturday as he was waiting PCR test for Coronavirus to be negative.
