#GermanGP | Marquez Tops Day 1 at Sachsenring.

Marquez topped the FP2 session of the #DutchGP, leaving him as the fastest man at the close of day one. In 2nd position, Rins bettered his FP1 pace. Quartararo completed the top 3.

Repsol Honda rider Marquez topped the FP2 session of the Dutch GP weekend, with a time of 1:20:705. Following closely in second was Suzuki rider Rins, who set a time of 1:21:046. In 3rd position was Petronas Yamaha’s Quartararo who set a time of 1:21:065.

The fastest Honda for the FP2 session of the current championship contender, Marquez topped the timesheets. Britain’s Crutchlow placed 6th, with a time of 1:21:392. Honda test rider and wildcard, Bradl placed 14th, with a time of 1:21:693. Nakagami placed 15th, after setting a time of 1:21:729.

Suzuki’s Rins continued to build a strong base for qualifying, placing 2nd.  Rookie of the Year contender, Mir placed 13th, with a time of 1:21:678, a vast improvement from this morning’s times.

This afternoon’s FP2 session left Petronas SRT Yamaha’s, Quartararo 3rd, an extremely impressive opening day. Viñalescontinued to impress, showing pace throughout both sessions, finishing 4th, setting a time of 1:21:193. Rossi set a time of 1:21:538, placing him 10th, a particularly productive opening day for The Doctor. Mobidelli set a time of 1:21:641, placing him 12th.

Top KTM for FP2, was P. Espargaro with a time of 1:21:265, placing him 5th. Oliveria placed 18th, with a time of 1:21:899. Zarco found himself in 19th position, having set a time of 1:22:001. Syahrin placed 20th, with a time of 1:22:208.

Pramac Racing’s Miller placed 7th, setting a time of1:21:442, leaving him the fastest Ducati at the close of day 1.Missow Winnow Ducati rider Petrucci placed 8th, setting a time of1:21:484. Fellow Mission Winnow Ducati rider, Dovizioso found himself down in 9th, setting a time of 1:21:489. Reale Avintia’s Abraham placed 17th, with a time of 1:21:897.  Rabat found himself in 21st position, having set a time of 1:22:462. Ducati’s contender for Rookie of the YearBagnaia missed the FP2 session due to a crash during the FP1 session, he has been referred to hospital for further checks.

The fastest Aprilia was A. Espargaro with a time of 1:21:543, in 11th.  Iannone placed 16th, with a time of 1:21:758. An impressive opening day for the Aprilia duo, and a fantastic base to work from for qualifying.

Top Rookie this session was Quartararo in 3rd position, he will aim to improve this over tomorrows FP3 and FP4 sessions to secure a solid grid position for Sunday’s #GermanGP.
