The #ItalianGP was full of thrills, spills and saw Petrucci finally stand on the top step of the podium, making him the 4th different winner this season. There have been just 4 riders this season who have scored points at every race; Petrucci, Rins, Dovizioso and P. Espargaro. Records are made to be broken, and Mugello was the place to do it, Dovizioso managed to set a new top speed record (356.7 km/hr). Marquez scored his 121st podium of his Grand Prix career, equalling Phil Read. In the race for ‘Rookie of the Year’ Quartararo leads the way with 31 points, followed by Mir with 12 points and Oliveira with 8 points.

On June 17th 1949, the first ever motorcycling World Championship race took place on the Isle of Man and was won by Harold Daniell aboard a Norton, in the Premier Class (500cc).

Catalunya hosted it’s first GP in 1992 and hosted a race every year since that year. This track has become iconic over the years; 4.6 km, 14 corners (6 left and 8 right), leaving plenty of opportunity for thrilling battles.

Over the last 28 years, Yamaha have been the most successful manufacturer taking 12 wins in total. Rossi has been the most successful rider across all classes, with an impressive 10 victories. After a dismal #ItalianGP, Rossi and Yamaha will be looking to relive their previous successes and continue to further their championship campaign.

Over the last 2 season the #ItalianGP race winner has gone on to win the #CatalanGP. Can Petrucci repeat his Mugello magic, or will he ride shotgun to Dovizioso? Could Marquez rain on Ducati’s parade, and take victory in Spain?
