After a stop of two months, the electrical engines of FE cars are starting to roar again. The Events 4 and 5 will take place in Rome with a thrilling back to back, which gets more interesting considering that this season the capital of Italy will see racing its "hero": Antonio Giovinazzi.

The Italian is coming straight from F1, where he leaves Alfa Romeo Racing Orlen to come and join a new adventure in FE, with the team Dragon-Penske. However, how is the city welcoming this event?

The eternal city seems quite ready for innovation, as it always gladly hosts this event, taking care of improving every aspect of the E-Prix, starting from the track to the whole area. It is shown by the fact that Italy is finally hosting the event at its full-capacity, a whole innovation after the last seasons. This year, indeed, Rome seems even readier to announce a challenging back-to-back, the second of this 2022 season. The whole capital is indeed pubblicizing the event as the major attraction from the city, for example whoever arrives at the major and central station in Rome is welcome by a maxi screen who screams to buy the tickets.

The two races, which will take place on Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th are announced to be challenging, as the first three races of the season have seen three different race winners: Nyck De Vries and Edoardo Mortara in the two Diriyah races and Pascal Wehrlein in Mexico. May there be a fourth?

In this case, the name of DS Techeetah's driver Jean-Eric Vergne cannot miss, as he won the last Italian edition here, followed up by the Jaguar Racing drivers, Sam Bird and Mitch Evans. Also Stoffel Vandoorne is ready to catch a win, as he said many times that the Circuito Cittadino dell'EUR of Rome is one of his favourites. It also granted him great performance in the recent past.

But the gladiator who shines brighter than anyone is local hero Antonio Giovinazzi. The Italian did not show up his full potential during the first three E-Prixs, admitting that he needs time to adjust to a completely different mode from the F1 set he is used to, but he is readier than ever to race in his first electric home E-Prix.

"It is going to be a great feeling, - Giovinazzi stated - We’re talking about Rome, the capital of Italy, and the Eternal City. It’s giving me shivers; it is definitely going to be one of a kind experience racing around these streets."

"Italy has a great motorsport culture that covers many different generations, -he continued, talking about the finally full grandstand of public and his need and desire to entertain his fans - it’s going to be incredible having public support back in the grandstand. I really can’t wait to get there with all the fans supporting and cheering us, not only in Rome but in the other cities we are still to visit."

So, Rome is ready to turn up the electric power and light this double -header. Are you?
