As we already know, Renault will be represented by the Alpine F1 team in view of 2021 and will abandon the yellow color of the previous livery. Images released today show a temporary black livery ahead of the full launch next month.

Thanks to some sneak-peeks we can see how they kept the project unchanged.

The black colour is a tribute to the A500 F1 prototype from 1975, according to the team, which called the design a "temporary winter livery". This is accompanied by blue, white and red stripes on the engine cover to recall the Franco-British flag. The car will be called A521 and the official launch event is scheduled for next month.

In addition, the new Alpine boss Laurent Rossi put Formula 1 at the center of the project in which they would combine the Cars division with Renault Sport Cars and Renault Sport Racing. Together with Lotus, they are also looking to develop new EV sports cars.

Already announced last week, Davide Brivio will be a new member of Alpine F1 after he left the MotoGP world where he was Suzuki Team Principal to join Formula 1.

It has been said that he is a candidate for the role of CEO of the team even though no statements have been made about his future role at the moment. In fact, there is no announcement from Brivio or the team as there is still an ongoing negotiation between the two.

The news does not end at Renault/Alpine. Just think of Cyril Abiteboul's departure from the team. The French motor racing engineer and manager has left the Renault group.

The news had been in the air for some time, and this Monday came the official announcement of the French company. And for the moment there is no confirmation regarding the next Team Principal even though Marcin Budkowski is in contention for the role.

Not to mention the situation of Max Fewtrell and Hadrien David who were dropped from the Renault Driver Academy as Renault was not satisfied with the results achieved in 2020. There is also talk of welcoming 4 new drivers to the Driver Academy and apparently a sports partnership has been signed with the new Academy driver.
