After the DAS system of Mercedes, another UK-based team is getting attention from a squad: Racing Point has been officially accused of breaking Article 1 of Appendix 6 of the Sporting Regulations. Lawrence Stroll's team is accused of having outsourced the designs of the car from

"a competitor or a party that directly or indirectly designs Listed Parts for any competitor"

Renault's boss Cyril Abiteboul right from car's presentation at the pre season testing, has always been doubtful about its regularity: claims had to stop due to the cancellation of the first part of the season, until Austria was hit with the first two races.

A perfect drive from Lewis Hamilton and a good recovery for Valtteri Bottas marked the first 1-2 of the 2020 for the 'Silver Arrows'

The stunning perfomances (and also the similar downsizes of gearbox sensors suffered as Mercedes) of Sergio Perez at the Styrian Grand Prix, has comprehensbly forced the French manufacturer to take countermeasures: the mid-field battle every year gets ignited, and 2020 doesn't make exceptions, being still unsure the number of its races.

Unknown the possible outbreaks of such a war: after 2019 hot topics between Mercedes, Ferrari and Red Bull, current championship could be even worse from that point of view; all that with the customer racing project discussions' for cost savings on the table.

UPDATE: Renault's protest of Racing Point's legality has been admitted by the FIA Stewards Parts of the Racing Point and Mercedes cars will be sealed for further examination
