Here we go with the last day of the pre-seasonal testing of Formula 1.

Curtains fell on the Montmelò Circuit and it is time to rest and work harder in order to get ready for the first appointment of the 2020 season, in Melbourne.

The results ended up in a sort of circular way: it is the Silver Arrow again to catch the first position, this time with Valtteri Bottas. The fin ended his fastest lap in 1:16.196.

Shortly behind we find Red Bull with Max Verstappen, who finished only some segments of seconds behind Mercedes.

Daniel Ricciardo has some new reason to keep smiling widely. The Australian finally made it to the positions he belong to, bringing his new Renault at the third spot of the grid and signing a really fast time.

The fourth position, instead, belongs to Charles Leclerc. The young Monegasque brought his Ferrari to a good position that opens up different scenarios that we are going to analyse.

The whole pre-seasonal testing has been such a surprise. In fact we have assisted to some weird and interesting moments, like the unexpected leading of Robert Kubica with his “borrowed” Alfa Romeo. We call it “borrowed” only to highlight the greatnes of his gesture, a tester that succefully led a whole day of testing, after having been rejected by Williams.

The team by Claire Williams, instead, has passed quite unnoticed on these days, so we will have to wait until March to see if Nicholas Latifi will deserve the opportunity he got.

And what about the top teams?

Obviously, Mercedes is the first of all. The Brackley team has got it all: widest technology, the thirst to win has not been fulfilled yet, the car. The only doubt that it left us, has to deal with its reliability, but let’s face it, this is not a great problem.

Ferrari is a question mark. It was great in some moments and disappointing in other ones. Is it hiding its real pace?

On the other hand, Red Bull is stronger than ever with its first driver Verstappen that seems more committed than ever and the whole car and engine are working really fine.

Save the date: on March 15th we will be there to comment the first race of the season in Melbourne. We cannot wait, will you be there with us?
