No time set in FP1 and a decent P3 finish in FP2 sum up the brazilian Friday of Max Verstappen.
The #33 is cautious but positive: “A bit of a messy day with the weather. Forecast for tomorrow is looking better, so we’ll start over fresh.”
His first free practice ended up in a spin at turn two in his only flying lap attempt, when the tarmac was starting to dry out. So no time set in the moring and, as a consequence, no track feeling built.

A better FP2 session put the Dutchman P3 in the time standings on a time of 1:09.351. Still nothing is taken for granted since the top 4 is inside a just one tenth gap.
“It has been a messy day and I don’t think today’s results are too indicative for tomorrow and for Sunday because it should be complitely dry” said Verstappen.

Red Bull’s sister cars, Toro Rosso, have had a terrible Friday with both drivers out of the FP2 due to engine failures. When asked about those problems, Max Verstappen kept his cool: I’m not worried. In the last races I’ve saved many kilometers out of the power unit, so there’s no need to be afraid of that."
When asked about his words on “cheating Ferrari” Max chosed to keep it smooth and just stated: “As I said today the conditions were noti deal for judging, we will see Tomorrow in qualifying”.

A calm Max Verstappen, in the end, even though he clearly knows his potential around the Interlagos track. In the last three races his Red Bull car has always fought for pole position and there’s no reason, in such a tight battle at the front, to believe we won’t be able to be leading the pack when the lights will go out on Sunday.
